About Us

ScheduleTailor was founded in 2010 by two Boise State University students who learned they can combine their talents from two different backgrounds to start a business.   The idea for ScheduleTailor came about one day when co-founder Trevor Shephard was making a work schedule for his employees at his seasonal summer snow-cone business.  

As he was making the schedule, he began to wonder if there was an easier way to do things.   This is where the idea for software that will make a schedule for you came into mind.   Trevor presented the idea to his former roommate Mark Stewart who had a strong background in computer science.  

It turns out Mark was already considering working on a similar program for a school project, and introduced the idea of making the software web based.   In September of 2009 Trevor presented the idea for ScheduleTailor in the Boise State Elevator Pitch Competition where ScheduleTailor was awarded best presentation overall.  

A few months later ScheduleTailor entered the Idaho TechConnect TechLaunch business plan competition and was awarded with the people’s choice award.   Trevor and Mark now continue to grow their business.
